La Cave d'Irouleguy Kattalin Blanc 2021
From mountain vines in French Basque country, the 2021 Kattalin Blanc
is an elegant wine with gorgeous aromatic purity. A deft and showy blend
of the classic varietals to which this tiny Basque region excels, it is
Gros Mensang and Petit Mensang organically farmed. So what the heck does
that taste like? It's a fleshy and bright white with excellent texture
and complex flavors ranging from nectarine to pink sea salt to
honeysuckle to pear. All this is backed by great minerality and a zesty
finish. An excellent wine for the season (I'm definitely saving some for
my Thanksgiving table!) Drink now through 2027.
