Benoni Chardonnay Russian River Valley 2023
The 2023 Benoni Chardonnay is a sophisticated yet accessible white that overdelivers in every way. A blend of sustainably farmed vineyards, each vinified separately, brings depth and nuance to the final wine. 100% barrel-fermented and aged for 10 months in French oak (40% new), the wine underwent complete malolactic fermentation with occasional lees stirring, building texture and complexity. So vibrant and fresh, with aromas of citrus blossom, green apple, and a hint of toasted almond. On the palate, juicy pear and crisp apple are beautifully balanced by refreshing acidity and a subtle creamy texture. The oak is deftly integrated, adding finesse and making this wine an ideal match for everything from roast chicken and creamy pastas to soft cheeses and even sushi.
