Agostina Pieri Brunello di Montalcino 2020
One part old school winemaking and two parts grit and determination,
this offering from Pieri is a classists dream. The vines are located in
the southeast portion of Brunello on a single slope. All Sangiovese
Grosso, this coats the palate with red fruits, tobacco, spice and
leather. Long finishing with cleansing acids and supple tannins, this
is top notch Brunello that in a vintage like 2019 deserves the chance to
age gracefully. However, it is difficult to not be seduced by the plush
fruit at present. Superb! Enjoy now (please decant me) through 2035.
