Corzano e Paterno "Il Corzanello" Rosso 2018
Culled from a number of younger vines on this picturesque Tuscan estate, the Il Corzanello Rosso is a lip-smacking blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon that is vinified completely in stainless steel to capture the wines' freshness. Made in a style for early consumption, this is a delicious wine for entertaining, serving with barbequed foods or sipping on its own. |

Domaine Bzikot Bourgogne Blanc 2017
From a great plot along the Puligny bench, Sylvain Bzikot tenderly cares for his vines in Huilleres. They lie right alongside those of Domaine Leflaive and the vinification is just as exacting and meticulous as his village and 1er cru sites. He gently presses the wine and vinifies 1/3 of it in barrels (5% new) with the remainder only treated to stainless steel. This lends texture but not oakiness. Clean and fresh on the palate, the Bourgogne shows Puligny-like characters of apples, pears and stony mineral notes in the long finish. Superb now, but I suspect this little wine will live on and strut its stuff with flash for another four years. |

Domaine de Bois Moze Cremant de Loire NV
This dazzling sparkler is a tremendous value from the Loire Valley. 100% Chenin Blanc grown on clay and limestone soilis are treated with the same tender care of the wine from Champagne...and it shows. This is a brilliant bubbly with hints of white peach, citrus and a touch of spice. Fruit driven but dry, this is a great Champagne alternative for parties, light appetizers as well as being super-versatile. Enjoy today and catch the freshness! |

Ca dà Mat Fuente De Los Huertos 2017
Garnacha from a single parcel planted 800 meters high on shallow and granitic soil rich in quartz. The vineyard has northwest exposure. The wine is macerated very softly for sixty days, with whole-clusters, and ages for a year in used French oak. Light and slightly savory, the wine has aromas of orange peel, and pomegranate fruit. |

Domaine Jacques Rouze Reuilly Pinot Gris Rose 2018
This is a quick maceration Rose of PInot Gris that is perhaps the most lively Rose we've tasted in eons. Pale salmon colored and super fresh on the palate, Como Rouze shows a feather light touch with this wine but the results are so intense and tenacious...citrus fruits, hints of light cherry, watermelon, are all propped up by superb balance and amazing length. Rose doesn't normally get this complex. But this wine shows that if Rose is taken seriously, serious results can happen. Enjoy now through 2020. |

Presqu'ile Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County 2017
Fresh black cherry fruit is pinned by notes of sweet tobacco, pine, wild berry coulis and provincal herbs. Clean, vibrant and lacy, as good Pinot Noir should be, this is a wine with exacting balance and excellent length. Enjoy this gem now through 2024. |
