We adore the value that this great little Pinot from Monterey represents. It is a superb wine for all sorts of uses as it is a refreshingly medium weight Pinot that has good intensity of fruit. My notes simply say, "Sweet black cherries, flowers and spice, soft tannins, good length, clean and tasty." Enough said! |

Monteraponi Chianti Classico 2015
Named after the mountain on which it resides, Monteraponi is located at 470 meters of altitude in the village of Radda. This is pure Sangiovese Nirvana and and study in classicism. Waves of raspberry and dried cherries lead the way but the symphony of floral lilac, high toned spices and fresh herbs, make this a wine with both texture and ethereal qualities. One of the best Chianti Classico we have tasted in a very long time... Enjoy now through 2023. |
