It's a whirlwind of complexity that Gripa culls from his vines in the heart of St Joseph. Everything here is done with the most minimal of intervention. From the hand harvesting, lack of chemicals and meticulous attention to detail in the vineyards and cellar, Gripa allows for perfect expression of his granite soils. This is textbook Syrah with pretty perfumed aromatics and showing those great secondary characteristics as well. Blackberry, blue fruit, asphalt, espresso and hints of smoked meat, this is pure and perfect to drink now and anytime over the next 5-7 years. Wow! |

ORGANIC - This is the top Cuvee of Blanc des Blancs from this superb small grower. 100% Chardonnay from top vineyards in the Cremant region of Champagne, it features a creamy texture and crisp acidity with layers of focused fruit. Anjou pear, citrus, slight brioche but more saline with a hint of thyme. This tremendous bubbly gives more expensive vintage sparklers a run for their money. Caviar, sushi, ceviche or a variety of pan seared seafood would marry well with the Cuvee Prestige as well as all on its own.. |
