Pisco 100 ‘Acholado’

Acholado is a style of pisco, which means a blend of grape varieties. In this case each bottle of Pisco 100 contains eighteen pounds of Quebranta, Italia, and Torontel grapes- that’s a lots of flavor in one bottle! On the nose, it presents aromas of ripe fruit with light floral notes intensifying on the palate, complemented with hints of spices and pecans, with a soft and delicate finish. This is a smooth and perfect pisco that makes delicious cocktails, like the “Capitan“. But, it can also be enjoyed neat to taste the grape flavors.

El Capitán Recipe

Ingredients:

• 2 ounces of Pisco Acholado
• 1 ounce of sweet vermouth 
• 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
• 1 dash of orange bitters
• Luxardo cherry

Steps:

1. Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice, and stir until well-chilled 
2. Strain into a coupe 
3. Garnish with a brandied cherry
