The Big Brother of Our Best Selling Portuguese Red is Here...

Just a few weeks ago we debuted an exciting historical Portuguese vineyard’s first stateside release “Gradual" by Miguel Morais’ Quinta da Costa do Pinhão (the Blue Label).  Made by famed winemaker and friend, Luis Seabra, these wines charm with his subtle, nuanced and defined Douro hand. And the Peladosa is the stunning showpiece of the estate. And since your response has been so overwhelming with praise and repeat purchases, we decided to step up the ante and present to you their stunning Single Vineyard ‘Peladosa’ 2015.

Peladosa is a ONE hectare, more than 80 year old gnarly vineyard tucked away behind the manicured Douro hills spotted with more than 25 mostly extinct native varieties, but mostly Tinta Roriz - the Portuguese Tempranillo clone. In comparison to its blue fruited younger brother, ‘Gradual' the color on Peladosa berry is more ruby red and cloudy with concentration. The whole cluster fermentation process really shows off its potential and its succulent texture and mouth watering acidity are just unstoppable, aged to perfection and ready to drink. Boom.
