Beer For the Big Games - In-Store Tasting Today Need BEER for the upcoming games? Check out some of our favorite new additions:
“Classic, creamy and herbaceous. Clean malt and refined character come together in the best way.” - Industrial Arts Brewing This is clean and bright with some earthy pils malt at its core… dry and crisp, with minerality that makes for a traditional style. The flavors are fresh with citrus, fresh cut grass, and fennel at the forefront. Clean and crushable! $14 for a 4 pack of 16 oz cans (In stock)
“Lunch is a special whale that has been spotted off the Maine coast since 1982. She has what looks like a bite taken out of her fin, which adds to her unique character. We dedicate this beer to her determination and persistence. Keep on swimming!” - Maine Beer Company This is their “East Coast” version of a West Coast-style IPA. Slightly hazy golden color with intense piney and resinous hop aromas. The finish is balanced with caramel malt sweetness against the slight bitterness of the hops. Beautiful! $9 per 16.9 oz bottle (Arrives Monday, Jan 14th...though we do have 5 bottles of Maine Beer Co. Peeper Ale in stock right now… It’s a lighter Pale Ale and it’s delicious!)
“Our Tribute Double IPA is a celebration of hops! A smooth malt backbone allows 5 different hop varieties to steal the show with bright flavors and aromas of pine, fresh citrus, and pineapple.” - 14th Star Brewing This balanced Double IPA is medium orange-gold and hazy with aromas of pine, grapefruit, and tropical fruits. On the palate, stone and citrus fruits are prevalent with clean pine and hints of mint... Caramel malt contributes to a smooth mouthfeel... Superb! $16 per 4 pack of 16 oz cans (Arrives Saturday, Jan 12th)
“Ninja vs. Unicorn celebrates the epic battle between two of the biggest hop-heads of lore. Brewed with over five pounds of hops per barrel, this unfiltered Imperial IPA is sure to please the most discerning hop lover. Whether you’re rooting for the mythical horned horse or the deadly assassin of the east, we hope you’ll enjoy Ninja vs. Unicorn.” - Pipeworks Brewing This beer is aromatic and quite the “Hop Bomb…” aromas of heavy pine, black tea and black cherry are supercharged with fresh-cut grass, and lots of orange marmalade-type citrus. It’s a bitter, pithy sort of fruitiness and it’s one of the drier IPAs despite the big and bold flavors and aromas. This is for “Hop Heads!” $ 14 per 4 pack of 16 oz cans (Arrives Saturday, Jan 12th)
“A velvety smooth Stout brewed with oats and milk sugar that create a creamy finish over a dark malt base.” - Riverhorse Brewing Dark as night, this stout is velvety smooth with aromas of milk chocolate, grains and coffee. It's dark, sturdy, and has a rich, silky mouthfeel. On the palate, lots of dark and milk chocolate, some caramel and vanilla, and even a dried fruit component. Perfectly smooth and balanced and perfect for winter sipping! $11 per 6 pack of 12 oz bottles (Arrives Monday, Jan 14th, though we are getting the 14th Star Maple Breakfast Stout on Saturday the 12th - it’s undeniably rich and delicious as well!)
