Chateau Lagrange Lussac Saint Emilion 2019
The Chateau Lagrange is a very old property that belonged to the Guimon
family. Today, it is owned by Marie-Christine Courrech, and the vines
are tended to by vigneron Franck Peneau who has made it a priority to
respect nature as well as the terroir of the Lussac Saint Emilion
appellation. The wine is dry and full-bodied displaying hues of deep
garnet. Aromas of blackberry, raspberry, and black currant with hints of
vanilla and smoky notes linger, and on the palate, the wine has a soft
velvety mouth feel, with hints of red berry and cherry and a wave of
earthy texture. Structured and long finishing with fine tannins, this
wine is paired well with roasted meats and soft cheeses and can be
consumed now through 2030.
